Where you'll create impact:
Working alongside a team of front-end developers, content creators and visual designers, you will architect and lead on imaginative and ground-breaking ways to meet the needs of the modern learner.
We aren’t too prescriptive about how you tackle a challenging project. We want you to bring your expertise and knowledge to be able to select the right tool for the job. Maybe we aren’t currently using a game changing technology and we should be. With our innovations team, we strive to stay ahead of the curve and in front of our competitors.
An appetite to share what you know and be humble enough to learn from others is crucial. A natural leader with a flair for mentoring people you’ll be happy to support our Junior developers in their growth whilst rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck into the code yourself.
We work in a unique environment featuring multiple technical aspects such as Learning Management Systems, SCORM, xApi, native and progressive web Apps, HTML5 microsites, phaser games, CMS’s, data tracking, legacy product support and analytics. In addition, we have an exciting product and innovation map involving many new technologies that we want to exploit to enhance workplace learning. You will be part of these conversations into what will take Sponge into the future.
Desired Skills, attributes and experience:
- HTML5 and CSS (SASS/LESS)
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Front-end frameworks (Angular, React or Vue)
- Interest in Behaviour-driven development
- Mentoring Junior devs
- Commercially focused
- Previous experience of using an LMS is desirable but not essential
